Fairy Tales

This poem about Fairy Tales reminds me of the idealism we loose over a lifetime and the beautiful innocence of youth. Read more of Pamela’s Reflective poetry!

Poetry by Pamela

Fairy tales and magic wands
Princes on majestic steeds
Evil step sisters with hair so blonde
Trolls and gnomes doing good deeds

Fluttering silver gilded wings
Fairies spinning flax into gold
Ball gowns and magic mirrors
Princesses with wishes to behold

Thoughts of happily ever afters
Awakened with the prince’s kisses
Now vanished are those dreams
I’m left with only near misses

    • LOL…I believe all fairy tales are meant to open our minds to imaginative possibilities…something the young are most receptive to. I have a girlfriend who needs a magic wand right now. Her last few Princes have been duds.
